In Mexico pretty much everything is made by hand. This is what gives a “Mexican Flavor” to our buildings and makes them so distinct. Mexico has great craftsmanship! Only detailed supervision is needed to create masterpieces!

The cultural gap is much more obvious during the construction process. Something that may be a normal, every day task to you might not necessarily be done in Mexico and may not even be thought about. In Mexico, and especially in Yucatan, nothing works as you would expect and shopping for construction is really a headache. It often takes more time to do that job by itself than to do the rest of a construction project. So, be aware that schedule is really hard to achieve unless you have a qualified, bilingual supervisor working for you.
