There is a Guy in Motul, I don’t know his name but he has a shop about 100 yards south from the main church. He did some carpentry work for our friends, good qualyti, but slow.
Palapero: We would recommend Don Aurelio in San Cresanto, don’t use those the guys from Chicxulub, they are middleman.

The best palapero we ever worked with, and has done all our palapas in Telchac was Don Aurelio from Sancrisanto. But I think he just retired. One of his sons took over the business, you can check with him. We used them when Don Aurelio was in charge so a can’t guarantee what his sons are doing now.
Good method to find the good people here is to drive and look around, and if you find a palapa that looks good to you, ask who did it.

You are right; I would not recommend those people located by the police station in Chuxulub, high cost, low quality, unqualified contractors who can't get it done right the first time.
