Post Planning to move to Merida
Hello everyone,
We are planning to retire and move to Merida in the spring of 2012, Are there any decent online resources for two new expats, who want to get acquainted with the culture and history of Merida and Mexico.
Your input will be greatly appreciated!

If you are moving to Merida and Yucatan you should start with http://www.yucatantoday.comit is the oldest, most comprehensive and unbiased guide to this area.
If it comes to Mexico’s culture, living, retirement and expat’s issues, some online some in print, I would recommend:
Retire In Luxury in Mexico For Pennies
50 Things You Must Know Before You Travel To Mexico

How To Buy A Home In Mexico.

You can find almost an endless amount of online resources covering Merida, Yucatan and Mexico, but unfortunately not all of them are objective and for the right amount will promote anything and anyone. Not every reporter and blogger out there knows what he or she is writing about, don’t take them too seriously.
