From my point of view are more durable aluminum. The aluminum that is normaly use in Yucatan is not as strong as in US or Canada, this is thin and some parts, (like the rollers) get really rusty and you will have to replace them time to time. There is the heavy aluminum (not common at all in Yucatan) it has a BIG $$$$ diference from the thin aluminum. So you really have to make a decition. Also you can place the moskito screen (mosquiteros), inside or outside. I do prefer to have them inside. There is a fine parts of seaweeds in the air that are glu to the screen and....ughh! Very dificult to clean!

Madera significara mantenimiento continuo. Lo mejor para la playa ventanas de aluminio o de PVC, sin embargo las de PVC son caras ya que son sistemas importados.
Te recomiendo de aluminio y que tengas presente darle mantenimiento preventivo cada 6 a 12 meses para evitarte problemas, y asi tus ventanas siempre estaran en optimas condiciones.

Nosotros tenemos persianas de aluminio que parecen madera. El producto es de Italia, un poco caro, pero de excelente calidad.
